Problem
The task was to create a 100th anniversary logo for the Elsinore Theatre. The challenge was working with the theatre’s existing logo while embodying what makes the theatre unique. The logo would be used in many different situations and needed to be flexible.
Process
I started this logo design with research on the Elsinore’s history and past anniversary logos. As a class we visited the Elsinore in person to get inspiration, which helped me when creating the flourishes for my design. After research I moved into the sketching process, I then brought my favorite sketch into Illustrator to finalize the logo. I designed the final logo to feel historic and elegant.
