Problem
Our class was tasked to create a wayfinding system for students new to Chemeketa. We had to create icons that represented different areas of the campus. They had to be recognizable and universally understood, and the nine icons and a logo needed to be stylistically cohesive.
Process
We collaborated as a class to decide on a name to contain our wayfinding icons. I started by researching signage from all around the world. I took what I gained from that and started sketching out my ideas. I choose a style I liked and brought my designs into Adobe Illustrator to finalize them. I followed the same process to create the logo.
