Problem
I was tasked to create a logo for an industrial-style hotel placed in the arts district of New Orleans that caterers to business travelers.
Process
I started my process by researching names for the hotel. I decided on Bastion On Julia. It’s chic and relates to the area in which my hotel would hypothetically be located. A bastion is a French term for a fortress-like structure. I sketched out all my ideas before deciding on my design. My final logo is simple and modern, intended to attract an older millennial audience.
